I will be in Indiana July 28 and August 4.  Please do carry on without me!  I will send out questions for August 4.

Bonus:  I jotted down some of our points when we discussed "How to Walk in the Spirit" and Galatians 6:

1.  Be gentle with touch and tongue - 6:1a
2.  Don't repay in kind - 6:1b
3.  Consider the other person's situation - 6:2
4.  It doesn't matter if you haven't robbed a bank - 6:3-5
5.  Sow spiritually to reap spiritually -  6:7b-8
6. Seize the opportunity to do good to all - 6:10

We must get along to share Christ with others.

Pastor Derek referred to a quote from John Wesley. I found an interesting blog post.

Share your thoughts.   Our culture encourages individualism.  Yet to best serve Christ we need companions and community.

Pastor Derek used the example of a rowing team.  The members of a successful team strengthen themselves and work together.  How might we incorporate the two pronged approach in our witness for Christ?

Read Romans 12: 1-8.  What advice do these verses give for "getting along"?

Can the church become too well adjusted to the culture of the world?  How much adjusting is productive for the cause of Christ?  How can we judge when the church is too well-adjusted?

Dick has a preaching gig in Waverly, KS this week.  So I'll be driving him to Waverly. Spend the time in the Cafe.  I'll give you some thoughts to ponder and/or you can pray for people as you see them.  Feel free to invite them to join us next week. Thoughts to  Ponder John 13:36- John 14.20.  Think about the disciples' questions How are we like the disciples? Think of a time when you asked God "Why?' We think we are ready for the answer but................................ We think we want to know.  Do we? What is Jesus' response to each question? How can you apply to your question in lire? 1 Peter 3:15 What jumps off the page? Share  a specific time God met a need.  Can you put the need into one sentence?  That canbe the first sentence of your 3 sentence testimony. Proverbs 20:5 Share a specific time you felt like someone really listened to you. How can we become ? What does it mean to draw out a person's heart? Luke5: 29-31 Who is an insider?  Who is an outsider? Why were you left behind?
